National broadcaster NTV is leading the selection process and has already opened submissions for artists and songwriters hoping to compete in the historic first edition of Eurovision Song Contest Asia. The contest itself is scheduled for 14 November 2026 in Bangkok, Thailand.

According to the published rules, submissions for the Bangladeshi selection remain open until 10 June. Songs must be original, no longer than 3 minutes, and performed by a maximum of 6 people on stage. Following the submission phase, a shortlist of 12 finalists will be revealed on 21 June.

The selected acts are expected to receive professional mentoring and performance preparation throughout July ahead of the televised final on 23 August. The format is designed to mirror the classic Eurovision model, combining televised performances with audience participation and potential jury involvement.

Public voting will play a central role in determining the winner. Reports indicate that viewers will vote through the Zoop platform, while juries could account for 50 percent of the final result if activated by the broadcaster. Fans will reportedly need to vote for at least 3 entries, a move aimed at encouraging broader support across the competition.

Bangladesh is among the countries officially confirmed for Eurovision Song Contest Asia, a new pan regional music competition backed by the European Broadcasting Union and production partner Voxovation. The format aims to bring together artists from across Asia and the Pacific in a Eurovision style event built around live performances, national selections and international voting.

The announcement marks a significant moment for Bangladesh’s music industry. Eurovision style competitions have launched international careers in Europe for decades.
